Apparently this knauf foam is pretty dense

For normal foam, I get it from Forman Insulation. It is denser and cheaper

I thought that you couldnt get it from them anymore?

cant get the green stuff but can get a yellow foam that is not bad

I wonder if we just make foamies out of the dense EPS foam? That one I built that I posted in the other thread has an EPP fuse, Coreflute tail and a Gold foam wing. Super light and has handled a couple of hard hits in testing. Just a slight crumpled tip which disappeared with the iron...

The Fuse has a top and bottom coreflute strap going full length, which helps a lot with stiffness and robustness.

it certainly would be easier to source the material and easier to wire-cut. But just not as robust as EPP.

Yeah, but pricepoint would be cheaper. And if designed well to have easily removable parts, you could replace a broken wing or fuse with a new one easy enough
